Liu Zhizhi (China)

Born in Beijing, Liu Zhizhi obtained his BA from the Department of Design at Central Academy of Fine Arts, China in 2003. In the same year, he established MEWE Design Alliance with his colleagues. Liu is regarded as one of the most influential new generation graphic designers in China. His work has been nominated several times in international awards including the Tokyo TDC Award, the NY ADC Award, and has won a championship in Japan’s Rong Graphic Design Competition. He is presented in graphic design exhibitions in and outside China, including the “Get it louder” Design exhibition in 2005 and the 2007 “‘7080’ Invitation Exhibition of Young Graphic Designers”, and “China Design Now” Exhibition at V&A, London in 2008. He was curator of “Two Blocks – East &West” German Designer Invitational Exhibition at Goethe Institute, Beijing in 2008.
