The 9th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial in Beijing & Dingbats Brasil

9th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial -- The 9th issue of the biggest graphic design event in South America features the best 283 design projects created in the last couple years by a wide range of Brazilian professionals, from big traditional agencies to recently graduated designers. Selected by some of the finest design professionals and scholars in Brazil, the projects are divided in 9 categories created by curator Cecilia Consolo. The Biennial will come to Beijing and join the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 in October.

Curated by Bruno Porto in 2006 as one of the 8th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial exhibitions, Dingbats Brasil features the first decade (1996-2006) of the country’s production of digital pictorial alphabets – the dingbats – through thirty-five projects by 22 of Brazil’s prominent contemporary designers. The exhibition has been presented in several cities in Brazil, as well as in Mérida (Venezuela), Bogotá (Colômbia) and Shanghai.
